There are many approaches to drawing, I focus on pen and ink but I also work with graphite and other dry media.
Pen applications include ballpoint pen, rollerball pen, or fountain/dip pen and ink. With ballpoint
I can achieve more detail and better transitions of tone, but be aware that this ink is not permanent, and if exposed to direct light this ink will fade.
Other inks may also be susceptible to light exposure, this is mainly due to the fact that the color is derived from dyes and not pigments.
For permanent ink colors it is best to work with rollerball or gel pen inks, but these pens tend to be more expressive due to the ink flow quality.
